This is an unrehearsed live interview I gave on the national ‘Satellite Sisters’ radio program. I had no idea what they were going to ask. The result was a candid exploration from the heart of my life and the formation of Candle Bee Farm™. I hope it inspires you to listen to your dreams. Dear Heidi, I listened to your interview after being sent your link by a fellow raw foodist and neighbor who is getting into bee keeping and was excited that you, too, are a vegetarian raw foodist. I was delighted with your story and I was most impressed by your answer to the question of the biggest mistake that you have made in life. You stated that there are no mistakes, that it is all a part of one’s journey. I have to agree with that! How wonderful it is to follow one’s dreams as that is what life is all about! Nature has been my spiritual sanctuary ever since a child and am still exploring her beauty and all the wonders that she presents to us. I just love all that you are doing esp. with the natural candle making as that was an interest of mine back in the early seventies! And how I do love bees and honey. I would be considered a Beegan!
Blessings to you, Tracey
Thank you Tracey,
I’m glad you enjoyed the interview. A “Beegan” how original. Thanks for the smile and for your appreciation of natural wonders. Animals and insects bring me special joy. They are my guides to the gifts of nature. I learn so much by watching and living with the wild animals. My own domestic animals are also quite feral and knowledgeable because they are naturally reared and kept. The honey bees, of course, are in a whole different class of natural interaction and social development. Quite fascinating with the little we do understand. Bee Well,

Super interview, Heidi. 🙂 Was surprised to hear that you’re a CPA & those firm experiences… I can definitely relate, as I’m currently a marketing director at a CPA firm. Going raw vegan has, over the years, made me much more aware of who I really am and who I’d like to be (and what I’d like to do — which is not selling audits for a living). So, it’s inspiring to hear of someone who has made that transition (and who has done it successfully). My wife and I have 100% clear direction about what we want in life, but we’re still in the transition phase (quitting jobs, selling our home, moving away), which is fairly taxing (no pun intended). But, I do look forward to the point at which I have my life and happiness back fully. What a wonderful day that’ll be.
Jim,
Thank you for sharing. Your actions to be true to yourself are admirable. You are fortunate to have a life partner who is on board with this. Best wishes for your endeavors. It isn’t an easy road. But, in the long run you preserve your peace of mind and health.
